The Biophysical Proteome Atlas (https://bio2byte.be/proteome) is a comprehensive framework for constructing biophysical proteomes. It facilitates the analysis of human protein sequences from the UniProt proteome database, employing the Bio2Byte tools (B2BTools) to predict biophysical features.

This online resource builds on the foundation of the Bio2Byte SARS-CoV-2 website, which was developed by the Bio2Byte group at the Interuniversity Institute of Bioinformatics in Brussels (IB)² in collaboration with VU Amsterdam. Initially, that website offered sequence-based predictions to understand the behaviour of proteins in the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

User feedback is now being reviewed to enhance the website, aiming to increase its connectivity with external resources and its relevance in revealing biophysical properties. Looking ahead, the scope of the framework will expand to include more proteomes, extending the atlas to various species.
