PLAZA is a plant-oriented online resource for comparative, evolutionary and functional genomics. It allows querying and visualising structural and functional annotations, gene families, protein domains, phylogenetic trees, and genome organization. The PLAZA Workbench allows users to analyze multiple genes online, while bulk downloads and an API are available for expert users to perform customized large-scale analyses.

PLAZA 5.0 is the newest iteration of the PLAZA framework. This version provides a substantial number of new genomes and updates to many other genomes to their latest version.

PLAZA is developed at Ghent University and the VIB-UGent Center for Plant Systems Biology. Core publications and training material can be found here. The latest PLAZA training took place in October 2021. Follow PLAZA on Twitter: @plaza_genomics.
