The Belgian AI Factory Antenna project aims to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across key sectors, while strengthening Europe’s digital and technological sovereignty. The project supports broad access to high-quality, interoperable datasets and promotes trustworthy, resource-efficient AI solutions aligned with sustainability goals.
The project runs for three years with a total budget of €10 million, co-funded equally by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking and the Belgian federal and regional governments.
The Belgian AI Factory Antenna connects Belgian stakeholders to leading European AI Factories such as LUMI (Finland) and JUPITER (Germany).
The Antenna will provide companies, researchers and public institutions with
· Expert services for developing and deploying large-scale AI models,
· Access to AI-optimized computing infrastructure,
· Access to high-quality, interoperable datasets, and
· Training on using the infrastructure and the datasets.
The consortium brings together 23 leading research centers, universities, and public institutions from across Flanders, Wallonia, the Brussels-Capital Region, and the Federal State. The project is coordinated by imec.
