The Interuniversity Institute of Bioinformatics in Brussels (IB)² is an interdisciplinary research institute supported by ULB and VUB universities. Its goal is to bring together researchers specialized in bioinformatics analysis of large-scale omics data into an interuniversity, cross-faculty (Medicine, Sciences, and Applied Sciences, of ULB and VUB) laboratory.
The research activities of the group are centered on high-throughput data and regulatory patterns analysis by both contributing to the development of new methods and to the concrete analysis of biological and clinical data. In particular, one main focus of the research relies on the analysis of epigenomic data (DNA methylation, histone modifications) and their integration with genomic and transcriptomic data.
